REPAIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with your booking.

Note that we provide an estimated time required for repair at the time of the booking. Rarely, the repair could be more complicated than it appears so please be prepared at the booking point for a repair that could take more time than estimated.

Please be aware that during the repair process of your goods, there may be a chance that any user-generated data may be lost. Please ensure you have a full backup of all your data prior to repair.

No persons associated with the repair is responsible for any loss of said user-generated data.

Goods presented for repair may be replaced or refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished Parts may be used to repair the goods.

We do not provide any guarantee that your waterproof or water resistant device will be waterproof or water resistant after repair.

Prior Warranty

Repairing your device with us may void any prior warranty issues by a third party in relation to the goods. Please consider this before giving your device in for repair. Please also check with your device manufacturer if you have any doubts as we will not be held responsible for any loss of warranty.

Service Warranty

Tinker Mobile LTD provides a 100 day warranty on all parts associated with the following repair.

This warranty is only made exclusively for the original customer of the following repair and cannot be transferred. This warranty covers the default manufacturer-related defects on the components used for installation by the technician who proceeds with the repair but does not cover supplemental damage. Supplemental damage is damage discovered on your device unrelated to the proceeding repair. The Manufacturer-related defect symptoms may be included by one or more of the following; a spontaneous or disruptive decline in the overall device functionality, touchscreen sensitivity or LCD performance.

We are unable to cover physical damage under warranty. Physical damage includes;

  • Cracked or broken screen

  • Water Damage

  • Damaged Parts

  • Damage caused by a third party (Anyone other than our technicians that opened and looked at the phone)

We do not provide refunds for repaired jobs unless two attempts have been carried out to repair the particular fault. We will meet our obligations under the Fair Trading-Act & Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a solution or provide a partial or full refund for the cost of the repair.

We do however, value our customers and do everything that we can to help you in these circumstances. Please speak to our sales representatives about your options and find out what we can do for you.

Our Standard Warranty is for One Hundred Days from the Date of Purchase.

Lifting Screens

If in the case of a lifting screen, we will happily replace the part for you as this is covered under our warranty. Please make sure you bring the related goods back to us as soon as you can. When a screen begins to lift, it becomes very fragile. If the screen suffers any physical damage or breaks during this time, the case will fall under physical damage and our ability to help you will be limited.

Providing Your Own Parts.

If you choose to purchase and provide your own parts, we will only charge labour to repair your device. However, as the parts are from a third party, we are unable to provide warranty in relation to those parts.

Motherboard Issues

Often, as a result of physical damage, water damage or anything that could inflict damage to your goods, there are unforeseen damages that may exist on the motherboard or on other parts. It is nearly impossible to encounter these damages before fixing the phone. If it is a problem that we are able to repair, we will inform the customer of the discovered damage with the respective price to repair.

If a problem arises that we cannot fix, there will be a seperate billing charge of $59 for labour. You will not be charged for the repair.

Short Circuits

Electronic goods are occasionally unpredictable, especially when being worked on. If in the rare case that the device short circuits while it is being looked at by a technician, we can not cover it under warranty.

Similarly, devices can sometimes need a restore after a new part is installed. Though this is uncommon, we are not liable for the loss of user-generated data.

Finally, if you detect any issues with your phone after it has been repaired with us, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to solve any issues and take the weight off your shoulders.
