Maximize Your iPhone's Battery Life: Proven Tips for Long-Lasting Power!

The battery is one of the most critical components of your iPhone, and it is essential to take good care of it to extend its life and keep it functioning optimally. Below are some tips for maintaining and extending the battery health of your Phone.


To maximize your phone's battery life, try the following tips:

1) Reduce screen brightness To reduce screen brightness on an iPhone:

  1. Go to "Settings."

  2. Select "Display & Brightness."

  3. Drag the "Brightness" slider to the left to reduce the brightness.

  4. If desired, toggle on "Auto-Brightness" to have the phone adjust brightness based on lighting conditions. Note: On newer iPhones with Face ID, swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen to access Control Center, then adjust the brightness slider.


2) Turn off unused features

(e.g location services, bluetooth, push email)


To turn off unused features on an iPhone:

  1. Go to "Settings."

  2. Select "Privacy"

  3. Toggle off "Location Services" if you don't need it.

  4. Select "Bluetooth" and toggle it off if not in use.

  5. Go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and toggle off "Push" under "Fetch New Data" to stop push email. Note: Some apps may need your location to function properly, so make sure to review the list of apps using location services before disabling it.


3) Close background apps that drain power

To close background apps on an iPhone:

  1. Double-click the Home button to bring up the App Switcher.

  2. Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.

  3. Swipe up on the app's card to close it. Note: On newer iPhones with Face ID, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold to bring up the App Switcher.


4) Turn on airplane mode in low-signal areas

To turn on Airplane mode on an iPhone:

  1. Swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen to access Control Center.

  2. Tap the airplane icon to turn on Airplane mode. Note: On older iPhones, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Control Center.


5) Enable Low Power Mode

To enable Low Power Mode on an iPhone:

  1. Go to "Settings."

  2. Select "Battery."

  3. Toggle on "Low Power Mode." Note: When Low Power Mode is enabled, certain features and functions like automatic downloads, background app refresh, and some visual effects are reduced or disabled to conserve battery life.


6) Reduce Usage of Power-Hungry Apps

To reduce the usage of power-hungry apps on an iPhone:

  1. Monitor battery usage to identify which apps are using the most power.

  2. Go to "Settings."

  3. Select "Battery."

  4. Review the list of apps under "Battery Usage" to see which ones are using the most power.

  5. Limit usage of the most power-hungry apps, or close them when not in use. Note: Games and GPS navigation apps typically use a lot of power due to their high graphics and location-tracking requirements. Reducing the usage of these apps can help conserve battery life.
